CEO RUNS ACROSS THE STATE
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, February 23, 2012 - Effective immediately, Tom Pace will run from the Oklahoma/Kansas state line to the Oklahoma/Texas state line to promote reading, exercise and mentoring.
To Promote Reading, Health and Mentoring
On March 1, 2012, Tom Pace, author and CEO, will start his journey running 236 miles across the state of Oklahoma to help promote reading, exercise and mentoring. Pace, author of the book Mentor: The Kid & The CEO, focuses a lot of his time on running, mentoring, and setting an example for others.
As CEO of PaceButler Corporation, Tom Pace founded the PaceButler Books Program. This program gives one educational book for every cell phone sold to PaceButler Corporation. These books are given to organizations nationwide. To date, Pace and the PaceButler Corporation have already given away over 350,000 books!
"That's why I run," said Pace. "I think running is a great place to mentor. I've run at Lake Hefner for years, and I always encourage anyone and everyone to come out and run with me. For those who want it, I will mentor them. I have a lot of life experiences that I can share. Some want it, some don't. I just want the ones that do want it to know that I am available and willing to help." At 26 years old, Pace read at a fourth grade level and suffered from dyslexia and ADD. Today, he has overcome those hurdles and is an avid reader. He firmly believes that reading the right books can change a person's life.
The run is to help promote reading, exercise and mentoring. Along the way, Pace plans to give away 5,000 copies of The Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren.
To follow Tom Pace on his run, go to his website: www.pacebutler.com. "I would love to schedule a time to speak to companies, schools or even some of the local chambers while passing through," said Pace. "Reading is a passion and I hope to bring more awareness during this run and give away a few books at the same time." The PaceButler Corporation buys used cell phones from companies and individuals throughout the United States and will pay up to $125 for each phone (some phones have no value). For every cell phone you sell to PaceButler, they will donate an educational book.
