Earth Hour was a great thing. It showed that the world is listing. Although I see it as a great gesture, none the less that is all it was, just a gesture. I guess you can say, well we have to start somewhere. This is true. However, why should we just unite and turn out the lights for only an hour. Why can’t we all, every nation on our planet take responsibility for our own actions and just simply turn out the lights when we don’t need them. Or better yet, try different alternative energy sources. When I was a boy my father always had to remind me to turn out the lights when I left a room or to turn off the television when I was done watching it. See I didn’t know any better, which is no excuse for the rest of the world though, even though most of it still acts like children.

Impressive - unfortunately I only heard about Earth Hour after the fact. But it looks like it's spread far and wide.
