I agree with the above comments-thanks for writing about this interesting new technology. I think this will definitely gain more popularity in the near future--I work for a GPO in SF called Viv that focuses on brokering volume purchases of green or sustainable products resulting in significantly discounted wholesale rates to our customers. By pooling the purchasing power of our organization, we are able to continuously lower prices of green products offered by approved suppliers and distributors (VivBizClub.com). Our customers often ask about the compostability of their products and the ways in which they should be disposed--this is certainly the next step. The biodegradable and compostable products mean nothing if they are not disposed of properly or turned into alternative/renewable energy!

Big money in the alternative energy market, right now. If I knew more about the stock market(or had money to invest) I would be looking to invest in things like this. Win-win situation.

very exciting win/win technology. Many of these kind of things come from Europe because the political commitment is behind green issues. In the US environmental policy is seen as anti-business not an exciting opportunity for it.

Incinerating waste for energy sound good but you have to take into account how much energy it will cost to avoid pollution.
If the waste gets burned anyways its a smart idea to gain benefits out of it.
